Thanks to our partnership with Undue Medical Debt, the Office of the General Treasurer has now relieved an average of $1,749.69 in medical debt for nearly 7,000 Rhode Islanders. This initiative continues to provide meaningful financial relief for families across the state, turning a small public investment into significant impact. Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the State House
On behalf of Lieutenant Governor Sabina Matos and myself, we invite you to join us for the Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration at the Rhode Island State House on Friday, September 26, from 6–8 PM. This free, public event will feature live music, cultural exhibitions, and light refreshments, offering a vibrant evening to honor and celebrate Rhode Island’s Hispanic and Latino communities. All are welcome to attend and take part in this celebration of culture, history, and community!
Treasury and RIDE to Host
Financial Literacy Forum for Educators
On October 25, 2025, from 8:30 to 1:30, Rhode Island Treasury, in collaboration with RIDE, will host a Financial Literacy Educators Forum at Bryant University. This half-day event will bring together educators, community partners, and leaders to share innovative approaches to financial literacy instruction and its impact in our schools. The program will include professional development sessions, a community expo, and opportunities for collaboration to strengthen financial education across Rhode Island. Certificates of attendance will be provided for educators seeking PLU documentation.
