13-year-old girl struck, seriously hurt by car in Cranston
CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — A 13-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital Thursday morning after she was hit by a car in Cranston.

Police responded around 9 a.m. to the area of Cranston Street and Princess Avenue, according to Major Todd Patalano.
The teen suffered serious injuries, Patalano said. The driver remained on scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The girl is a student at Hugh B. Bain Middle School, according to a statement from Cranston Public Schools. The district said Superintendent Jeannine Nota-Masse was notified of the incident and is awaiting further updates from police.
“We are supporting the Hugh B. Bain Middle School community, and our thoughts are with the student and her family,” the statement said.
