2 dead in Foxboro crash

FOXBORO, Mass. (WPRI) — An investigation is underway into a deadly crash that happened in Foxboro Friday afternoon.

First responders were called to South Street near Cedar Street around 4:40 p.m. for reports of a crash with injuries.

Police said the driver and a passenger in one of the vehicles were rushed to the hospital where both were later pronounced dead.

The other driver, who was in a box truck that tipped over, remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time and it’s unclear if any charges will be filed.
