Since the first edition of the Downtown 5k in 1990. Tens of thousands have participated in the annual Downtown 5k. The Downtown 5k is the longest lasting running event in Downtown Providence. There will also be youth races before the main 5k event for children 10 and under.

May corporations cover the entry fee for their corporate team members. The Downtown 5K can facilitate pay as you enter or payment for the team after the event is completed. To request an invoice after the race is completed, simply select the option when creating your corporate team to be invoiced after the race. Most requests are approved on the same day the corporate team is requested.
