ALDI recalls 28K single-serve coffee makers due to burn risk

(WPRI) — ALDI is recalling about 28,000 single-serve coffee makers because the machines can expel hot water, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

There have been 25 reports of water spewing from the top of the Ambiano coffee makers, including three resulting in burns.

The coffee makers were sold at ALDI stores nationwide in several colors, including gray, blue, pink and purple.

Coffee makers with the following UPC Codes and Model Numbers are impacted by this recall:

Anyone who purchased one of the coffee makers is urged to stop using it and instead return it to an ALDI store for a $49.99 cash refund or complete an online registration form for a $75 gift card.
