Face mask art originally from Providence Art Club and Health RI on display at state gallery
Members of the Providence Art Club, students and faculty at the Pennfield School, staff at the Department of Health and our community created compelling artwork in the shape of a face mask during lockdown. You can view the 80 pieces at the Atrium Gallery, located on the main floor of the state’s Administration Building, One Capitol Hill, Providence.

Chariho Regional High School’s Virginia Keister of Hope Valley represents Rhode Island in the national Poetry Out Loud memorization and recitation competition. She will compete in the semifinals, Sunday, May 2, at noon, and if she qualifies, will be in the finals, Thursday, May 27, at 7 p.m. Both competitions will be streamed online during a webcast.
