Providence Journal Invites RI Businesses
to Join Free Online Directory
The Providence Journal is currently in development of a free online directory for local businesses and organizations in Rhode Island that will be accessible on all of their local websites and promoted in multiple ways including in print, online and via e-mail and social media. The Journal is planning to launch the directory on Wednesday, April 8, so please submit the information by Monday if possible.

Effectively immediately, the Providence Business Loan Fund (PBLF) will provide up to $1.5 million in capital to Providence-based businesses impacted by COVID-19. These loans will be provided with zero interest for up to 12 months, closing costs are capped at $500, and payments can be deferred for 6-12 months.

The Rhode Island Community Food Bank recently was the beneficiary of a $100,000 donation from the MetLife Foundation to help handle increased demand for food services in the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
