Census Bureau data, collected from various surveys and programs, including the Special Census program, are the foundation of all official statistics used to make decisions about the programs, services, and infrastructure that we rely upon.
A special census is a basic enumeration of population, housing units, group quarters and transitory locations that the Census Bureau conducts at the request of a governmental unit.
