Francis Parra, Directora Artística y Ejecutiva de Teatro ECAS, se complace en anunciar la inauguración de un nuevo componente educativo de ECAS: "Summer Camp ILAP". (Mejorando la Vida de los Jóvenes a través de las Artes en Providence/Pawtucket). Los niños de las escuelas públicas de Providence y Pawtucket que hablan español de 7 a 12 años están invitados a unirse a las clases. La primera sesión de tres semanas es del 6 al 24 de julio, para niños de 7 a 11 años. El horario es de 8:30 a.m. a 4 p.m. de lunes a viernes. Completamente gratis para niños de las escuelas públicas de Providence y Pawtucket. La segunda sesión de tres semanas es del 27 de julio al 14 de agosto. Será para niños de 9 a 12 años, horario de 8:30 a.m. a 4 p.m. De lunes a viernes, y completamente gratis para los niños de las escuelas públicas de Providence y Pawtucket. Una muestra de los talleres consiste en: Bienvenida/Saludo, Calentamiento físico, dicción, Juego de espejos, Juego de roles, Hip hop, Arte Tribal de India y mucho más.
“Campamento ILAP” está destinado a niños que hablan español, utilizando juegos de teatro y danza y habilidades sociales para generar confianza y alfabetización en español, habilidades para hablar en público y también dominio del inglés, de forma divertida y emocionante. El tamaño de la clase está limitado a 13 niños. Quedan espacios disponibles para el primer campamento del 6 al 24 de julio. Providence and Pawtucket public school children who speak Spanish ages 7-12 are invited to join the classes. The first three-week session is July 6 – 24. It will be for children ages 7-11. The hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The cost is free for Providence and Pawtucket public school children. The second three-week session is from July 27 – August 14. It will be for children ages 9-12. The hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The cost is free for Providence public school children. A sample of the work done in class is will be Welcome/Check-In, Physical Warm Up, Vocal Warm-Up, Mirror Game, Role playing, Hip hop, Tribal Indian Art and much more. ILAP is intended for Spanish native children and uses dance, theater games and social skills to build confidence and literacy in Spanish, public speaking skills and also English proficiency, all while being fun and exciting. El maestro Nader Molina Figueroa es un artista de teatro profesional,
bailarín, profesor de danza y coreógrafo internacionalmente reconocido y galardonado. Él tiene un B.A. en Danza de la Universidad de Antioquia, Colombia, así como un B.A. en Educación Física, Deporte y Recreación y es un técnico certificado en educación preescolar. Su credo para enseñar a los niños pequeños es como un líder cultural, amante del folklore, la cultura y las tradiciones, apoya cada una de las manifestaciones artísticas y culturales; Enseña a los estudiantes sobre la importancia de preservar la identidad regional, así como experimentar nuevas experiencias e intercambios socioculturales con otras culturas. Como emprendedor, crea espacios abiertos para el nuevo pensamiento artístico. Ejemplos de su trabajo incluyen: Profesor en el EFAC, área de metodología de investigación, pedagogía de danza, puesta en escena, director del grupo folklórico CACICA DULIMA, director de la Escuela de Danza Folklórica de San Antonio Tolima, representante legal de la Fundación Colombiana - sin fines de lucro entidad que trabaja para la conservación de las tradiciones culturales del departamento y la nación, Director General FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE DANZA FOLCLÓRICA “BAILANDO POR LA PAZ” - Fundación Colombia - 2009 - 2013 y Representante para Colombia en festivales folclóricos internacionales en algunos países como: COREA DEL SUR (2014), PORTUGAL (2015), INDIA (2018), ESTADOS UNIDOS (2012,2013,2016), MÉXICO (2010, 2012, 2014), PERÚ (2008,2009, 2011,2012,2014,2015), BOLIVIA ( 2017), CHILE (2015), URUGUAY (2015). Maestro Nader Molina Figueroa is an internationally renown and award-winning
professional theater artist, dancer, dance teacher and choreographer. He has a B.A.
in Dance from University of Antioquia, Colombia as well as a B.A. in Physical Education
Sport and Recreation and is a certified Preschool Education Technician. His credo for
teaching young children is as a cultural leader, lover of folklore, culture and traditions,
he supports each of the artistic and cultural manifestations; he teaches students
about the importance of preserving the regional identity, as well as experiencing
new experiences and sociocultural exchanges with other cultures.
As an entrepreneur he creates open space for the new artistic thought.
