Central Falls man sentenced to 16 years at the ACI on sexual assault and child molestation charges

Attorney General Peter F. Neronha announced that Victor Rodriguez (age 36), of Central Falls, pleaded nolo contendere on August 29, 2019, in Providence County Superior Court to two criminal counts and was sentenced to 16 years at the ACI for committing multiple acts of sexual violence involving two juvenile victims.

Superior Court Justice Joseph A. Montalbano sentenced Rodriguez to a full 45-year sentence with 16 years to serve at the ACI after he pleaded nolo contendere to one count of first-degree sexual assault and one count of first-degree child molestation.

Rodriguez was ordered to undergo sex offender counseling and register as a sex offender. Additionally, the court imposed no-contact orders between Rodriguez and his victims.

Had the case proceeded to trial, the State was prepared to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that on various dates between September 21, 2016 and September 21, 2017, Rodriguez forcibly engaged in sexual acts with two juvenile females who were known to Rodriguez.

Detectives Sarah McNulty and Sandy Graves of the Central Falls Police Department led the investigation into the case and Assistant Attorney General Shannon Signore and Special Assistant Attorney General Alison Bittl prosecuted the case on behalf of the Office of the Attorney General.
