Chamber Supports a ‘Yes’ Vote on All 7 Bond Questions

The Chamber has announced its support for the 7 bond referendums that voters will consider in the March 2nd statewide special election.

“We reviewed each of the bond issues carefully and view them as an economic stimulus package,” said Laurie White, president of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce. “These bonds will provide critical funds in areas of need, including infrastructure, educational facilities and green spaces, and we are glad to lend our voice in support of these investments.”

Chamber President Laurie White spoke with RI General Treasurer Seth Magaziner about the state’s statewide special election on 7 bond questions to be held on March 2. The Chamber supports a ‘Yes’ vote on all 7 measures.

The two also discussed the performance of the state’s pension system, the economy, unemployment insurance fraud, the millions of dollars of unclaimed property businesses and individuals may be eligible to claim through the Treasurer’s office and more.

Other Children’s Essentials to FSRI Families

Family Service of Rhode Island is proud to have joined forces with their newest partner, Project Undercover, with assistance from Baby2Baby, to bridge the recent gap for families and children in Rhode Island. The donation of 300 units of baby formula, as well as diaper & wipes bundles for 400+ babies, toddlers, and children, received from Project Undercover in January offered immediate relief for families struggling to meet basic needs in recent weeks.

Providence Pirates 2021 Game Schedule
For the 2021 season, the Pirates will be playing an exhibition style season in the upcoming months, against teams from around our region and division. The team is looking to play a limited number of games for the 2021 season, barring any changes to the Rhode Island and surrounding states mandates on the COVID pandemic. The Pirates will hit the high seas, and begin their season on February 27th in Manchester, New Hampshire against the NH Rockets.
