DEA searches Providence car wash

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) executed a federal search warrant at Providence business Thursday afternoon.

A 12 News crew at the scene observed what appeared to be federal agents detaining a person outside the entrance of Kings Car Wash on Douglas Avenue.

Activists with a bullhorn could be heard shouting to the person being detained, reminding them of their rights.

DEA agents were seen walking out of the car wash with an evidence box. Providence police were also at the scene.
