Dr. Martin Luther King Celebration:
Reconciliation as Expressed in Four Faith Traditions

Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Grace Church
300 Westminster Street
Providence, RI 02903

Between January and March 2018, the Center for Reconciliation will host and promote a series of events inspired by Dr. King’s writings on the “Beloved Community.” For this first event, join the community and members of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra Music School and Grace Church Choir to celebrate his work through the perspectives of faith leaders, as expressed in art and music and as celebrated in worship by various faith communities. Guests include:

  • Rabbi Howard Voss-Altman – Reconciliation in Judaism
  • Mufti Ikram ul Haq – Reconciliation in Islam
  • Swami Yogatmananda – Reconciliation in Hinduism
  • Bishop Jeffrey Willaims – Reconciliation in Christianity

What does reconciliation mean to you? This is an opportunity to hear, reflect and explore the meaning and practice of reconciliation — something so needed in today’s world. Now is the time for all of us to make a difference!
