SkillsRI is recruiting Rhode Islanders interested in earning $23/hour to provide temporary staffing support for the safe re-opening of public schools this fall.

To support Newport Public Schools, we are seeking:

Classroom Support & Paraprofessionals

Substitute teachers, teacher aides or paraprofessionals to help foster a safe and successful learning environment.

Certified Nursing Assistants

Individuals who will support the staff and daily operation of the school nurse’s office(s).

Program Details:

Earn $23 per hour
Work up to 32 hours per week for 8 weeks
Employment must end by November 5, 2021
Must complete and pass a background check
Schools will provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), when appropriate
Opportunities are available throughout the state, with an emphasis on schools located in communities disproportionately affected by the pandemic (high transmission rates and/or low vaccination rates)
