NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH, MASS. (WJAR) — According to North Attleborough residents there have been accidents on Commonwealth Avenue before – but they’re usually just little fender benders.
Sadly, that was not the case on Sunday morning, when a white GMC SUV apparently left the road, striking a pedestrian and a utility pole.
A resident of Hull, Mass., Daniel Stober, was rushed to Attleboro’s Sturdy Memorial Hospital, then med-flighted to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.

Police said the driver of the vehicle, an Attleboro man, 24, stayed on-scene and cooperated with authorities. He has not been charged with any offenses as of this time.
Some area residents said traffic often moves fast through the neighborhood, one adding, “they need some speed bumps or something.”
