First Pawtucket Small Business Convening

Pawtucket– The City of Pawtucket, working in conjunction with Progreso Latino will be hosting the First Pawtucket Small Business Convening offering information on Loan Programs and the numerous City resources that are offered to the Business Community. The convening will take place on Tuesday, November 27 at 5:00 pm at the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council located on 175 Main Street in Pawtucket.

“Our small businesses are the backbone of our community and we are excited to work with Progreso Latino to bring forth the First Pawtucket Small Business Convening,” said Mayor Donald R. Grebien. “We will continue to help our small business owners succeed, including by providing the necessary assistance for them to grow.”

Pawtucket, the only Rhode Island municipality to make the Verizon Business list of 50 Best Small Cities to Start a Small Business, has continued making strives to provide support and financial assistance. The City provides customer friendly assistance to help businesses thrive, including fire, zoning, and building code issues and other business growth issues. Flexible financing tools are among Pawtucket’s resources to help businesses grow. Through the Pawtucket’s Business Development Corporation, the City provides 7 different loan programs each tailored to the specific business needs. Business will be able to see how businesses like theirs have already benefited from accessing funds and services available to all and to network with others in the community.
