Gregorio Uribe’s Music Feautured on FX’s New Series, Mayans M.C.

We are excited and pleased to announce that two of Gregorio Uribe’s original compositions have been featured on the new FX Series, Mayans M.C.

Spirit Music Latino, a leading independent music publisher with whom Uribe signed onto last September 2017, successfully pitched and placed “Oiga Patrón” and Uribe’s much loved “Caribe Contigo,” to this much awaited  series created by Kurt Sutter and Elgin James .

The songs can be heard on the Pilot episode, as well as episode 103, entitled “Búho/Muwan.”

Together with Spirit Music Latino, we hope for many more placements and collaborations to come.

“Esta Noche” Live at Congahead

 Press and Quotes:

“It’s music that combines the technical virtuosity of the American big bands of the 1940s with the thunderous percussion of Colombian dance music. The punchy horn section at times channels Duke Ellington, but the huffing melodies of the accordion instantly recall vallenato. It’s music that reflects the history and reality of an immigrant city.” – Huffington Post

“brassy sway of cumbia, courtesy of the Colombian-born singer and accordionist Gregorio Uribe and his band” – NY Times

“Gregorio Uribe Big Band’s “Cumbia Universal” is exciting and lively, full of energy and compassion and wisdom concerning what is and what can be. Amazing vocalists, fantastic instrumentalists, bone-breaking rhythms and stunning compositions and arrangements are all underscored with love and warmth. Gregorio Uribe is a visionary an a prophet of what can and will be, driven by the universality of music.” – JazzTimes“Latin Artist on The Rise” – Billboard
