COVID-19 Outbreak Among Employees at a Meat Processing Facility — South Dakota, March–April 2020

During March16–April 25, approximately 25% of employees at a meat processing facility were diagnosed with COVID-19 with the highest attack rate occurring among employees working in close proximity on the production line. Implementing SARS-CoV-2 control measures, before or soon after introduction of the virus, might substantially reduce the risk for spread within meat processing facilities.
