Infinity Meat Solutions Breaks Ground in North Kingstown, RI
Infinity Meat Solutions, a subsidiary of Retail Business Services (RBS), the services company of Ahold Delhaize USA, recently broke ground on a new 200,000-square-foot fresh protein packaging facility project. The facility is set to open in the first half of 2020 and will create more than 700 food manufacturing, supply chain, and distribution jobs in Rhode Island.
As part of the groundbreaking ceremony, RBS and Cargill Protein donated 25,000 meals to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank to support hunger relief and nutrition efforts in the state.
“With the creation of 700 new jobs and a $100 million facility in Quonset, Infinity Meat Solutions is committed to the future of Rhode Island,” Governor Gina Raimondo said. “This groundbreaking is tangible proof that our economic development approach is working.”

Offshore Wind Conference a Success
Members of Rhode Island Commerce Corporation attended the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) Offshore Wind Conference in Washington, D.C. last month. Commerce representatives had multiple meetings with developers, supply chain and industry leaders.
Rhode Island had strong presence at the conference, and show attendees were impressed by the state’s physical assets, talent availability, and ecosystem to support offshore wind growth.
Leading the nation as the first state with an operating offshore wind farm (Block Island Wind Farm), Rhode Island remains ahead of the curve with our supply chain, talent, and educational infrastructure.
Secretary of Commerce, Stefan Pryor talks wind energy, education, and a sustainable RI with Our Daily Planet
“It requires more than a little daring: It has never been done before in the United States, and R.I. combined a lot of its best characteristics and manufacturing traditions to pull this off.”
– Sec. of Commerce Stefan Pryor on how RI became the nation’s leader in offshore wind energy. Read the full interview here.
