On September 22, 2021, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Nicholas Cunningham with six counts of first-degree child molestation, nine counts of second-degree child molestation, and one count of assault with a dangerous weapon. The alleged acts occurred in the city of Warwick on various days and dates between January 1, 2013 and March 31, 2021. The Warwick Police Department conducted the investigation. The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on September 30, 2021, in Kent County Superior Court.
