On May 22, 2019, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Jeremiah Banto with three counts of first-degree robbery and one count of carrying a weapon while committing a crime of violence.

The alleged acts occurred in the town of East Greenwich sometime on February 28, 2019. The East Greenwich Police Department conducted the investigation.

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on June 7, 2019 in Kent County Superior Court.
