Meet Lexi! From last summer at the farmers market to now as our Wholesale Access AmeriCorps VISTA member — Lexi works hard to get fresh, local food to SNAP recipients across RI. She leads our Market Mobile “Farmers to Families Food Box Program” packline, packing up food from local farms for the RI Community Food Bank each week. And the SNAP food delivery process she created is the FIRST service in the state that serves SNAP recipients — who have faced many obstacles to using federal food benefits during the COVID-19 crisis. The program is still growing, and we’re happy to be able to serve so many eaters in our community… thanks to you, Lexi!
