Kick Off the School Year with CollegeBound Saver

Kick Off the School Year with CollegeBound Saver
September is National College Savings Month, and it’s the perfect time to start planning for your child’s future. This morning, I joined The Rhode Show to talk about how families can make the most of our CollegeBound Saver program. As we kick off a new school year, I encourage parents and family alike to explore the benefits of saving early and consistently for higher education. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps open doors of opportunity for Rhode Island’s students. You can watch my full segment: https://www.wpri.com/rhode-show/college-bound-saver-plan/
National Patient Advocacy Day: A Commitment to Relief
On Tuesday, August 19th, Rhode Island Treasury, recognized National Patient Advocacy Day by reaffirming our commitment to helping Rhode Islanders overcome the burden of medical debt. Too many Rhode Islander’s face impossible choices when medical bills pile up. That’s why Rhode Island Treasury is proud to partner with Undue Medical Debt to erase millions of dollars in medical debt. Together, we are working to ensure that financial hardship does not stand in the way of health and well-being.
Protecting Communities, Strengthening Rhode Island
On Wednesday, I was proud to join the Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank, the League of Cities and Towns, and municipal leaders to announce the launch of the Resilient Rhody Fund at the RI Infrastructure Bank. This new initiative will help communities across our state invest in projects that strengthen local infrastructure, protect against climate impacts, and build a more resilient Rhode Island for generations to come. By working together, we’re ensuring that every city and town has the tools to prepare for the challenges ahead while creating healthier, safer communities.
