Lt. Governor Matos Honors RI High School Leaders at 32nd Annual Lt. Governor Leadership Awards
PROVIDENCE, RI — Dozens of graduating high school seniors from across Rhode Island earned recognition for their achievements this evening from Lt. Governor Sabina Matos at the 32nd annual Lt. Governor Leadership Awards. The Leadership Awards recognize students who have demonstrated dedication to their studies and a commitment to community service, led positive change in their school or community, and inspired other students to excel and achieve.
“Reading the nominations for the Lt. Governor Leadership Awards each year fills my heart with hope. Rhode Island is blessed to have outstanding young people in every community who are dedicated to service, and it is an honor to be able to recognize them as budding leaders,” said Lt. Governor Matos. “Their efforts are an inspiration to all of us at the State House to work hard on their behalf and to make sure our state can continue to present them with opportunities that match their incredible potential.”
