Man, 24, dies after struck by vehicle in Cumberland

(WJAR) — Cumberland Police Department said the 24-year-old pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday has died.
According to police, they were called to Mendon Road and Highland Corporate Drive at around 2:52 p.m. for a pedestrian crash.
Cumberland police said Joseph Arribas of Cumberland had been crossing Highland Corporate Drive near a crosswalk and was struck by a vehicle that was traveling through the intersection from Route 99 onto Highland Corporate Drive.
Arribas was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with critical injuries and passed away overnight, according to officials.
Police said the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation, according to officials.
