CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — A Warwick man was arrested in Cranston on Saturday on several charges, including gun and assault charges.
Just before 11 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to an apartment at 455 Meshanticut Valley Pkwy. for a person allegedly assaulting his mother and threatening to kill her.
Before they arrived on scene, officers were told there may be a gun inside the apartment.
When they did arrive on scene, the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Chace Ahlborg, from Warwick, surrendered himself to police.
“A check of the apartment did reveal several ghost gun making materials, including one fully intact pistol. Several other high capacity loaded magazines were found as well. All of the materials were seized and transported back to HQ.” Cranston Police Colonel Michael Winquist said in a release.
Ahlborg is facing several charges including license or permit required for carrying a pistol-other weapons prohibited, four counts of large capacity feeding devices, prohibited, domestic simple assault, and domestic disorderly conduct.
