PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in Pawtucket Tuesday night.

Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Goncalves told 12 News officers were called to Broad Street near Kennedy Manor just before 9 p.m. for reports of a shooting.
Goncalves said the officers found a 42-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The victim does not appear to be a resident of Kennedy Manor and it’s unclear why he was in the neighborhood, according to Goncalves.
No suspects are in custody at this time.
