Man shot in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WJAR) — A man was shot Tuesday afternoon in Pawtucket.
Police said the shooting was reported at West and Jefferson avenues at about 3:45 p.m.
“Upon arrival we located a crime scene with shell casings and blood on the ground,” police said in a release.
Police said friends took the man to the hospital. The man’s name wasn’t released.
Providence police said a vehicle that fled the scene was stopped by the Providence Community Response Team at the intersection of Hayward and Pearl streets.
The suspect was apprehended and turned over to Pawtucket police.
