Man shot in the back in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — An investigation is underway after a man was shot in Providence Friday night, according to police.

The shooting happened on General Street just before 7:30 p.m. Police said the victim, who was shot in the lower back, appears to be OK but is refusing to cooperate with investigators.

It’s unclear if police have anyone in custody at this time.
