Man stabbed in Providence dies, police ask for help finding alleged suspect

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — Providence police said Monday that a man who was stabbed on Chalkstone Avenue has died.
Police responded to the intersection of Chalkstone Avenue and Zone Street for a reported stabbing shortly before 4 p.m.
Officers on scene said they identified the victim as 34-year-old Brian Clements.
Clements suffered an apparent stab wound to the chest and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
Police are asking the public for help finding the alleged suspect, 29-year-old Shabree Lovett.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
