The U.S. Marshals said Labrecque is wanted by New Bedford and Franklin police on charges of child pornography, photographing intimate parts of a child, intimidation of a witness, reckless endangerment of a child, threatening, obscene matter to a minor, assault, and battery.

“The high-risk apprehension of Mr. Steven Labrecque on charges related to child pornography is the culmination of investigative efforts spanning multiple states and involving the close collaboration between federal, state, and local departments,” Lawrence Bobnick, acting U.S. Marshal for the District of Connecticut, said in a release.

Labrecque was being held in Connecticut as a fugitive pending extradition to Massachusetts.

“It’s disgusting, it’s unsettling,” said James Gingras of Thompson. “We live 15 minutes away from there it’s not something you want to hear.”

Some locals who live in the Woodstock area told NBC 10 that it is a very quiet and small town.

“It’s rural, rumor has it there are more cows than people in Woodstock,” said Jennifer Lombardo of Putnam. ”There is lots of open space there is lots of places where a person can hide.”
