Minou Tavárez Mirabal es una filóloga, profesora y política dominicana. Tavárez Mirabal ha sido diputada del Distrito Nacional desde 2002, y se desempeñó como viceministra de Relaciones Exteriores en el periodo 1996-2000. En el 2016 fue candidata a la presidencia del país. Es hija de los abogados, políticos y héroes nacionales Manolo Tavárez Justo y Minerva Mirabal, ambos fundadores del Movimiento Revolucionario 14 de Junio que buscaba el derrocamiento del dictador Rafael Leónidas Trujillo.

Minou Tavárez Mirabal is a philologist, professor and politician from the Dominican Republic. Mrs. Tavárez has served as a member of Congress since 2002, and served as deputy foreign minister from 1996 to 2000. In 2016, she was a candidate for President. Minou is the daughter of Dominican lawyers and activists Manuel Aurelio Tavárez Justo and María Argentina Minerva Mirabal, both national heroes and martyrs, and founders in 1960 of the clandestine movement 14 June that sought the overthrow of dictator Rafael Trujillo.
