Narragansett police investigate suspicious death

A woman died in Narragansett Monday under “suspicious circumstances,” according to Narragansett Police Chief Sean Corrigan.
The department responded shortly before 1:30 p.m. to Inkberry Trail to a report of a dead woman.
Officers on scene pronounced the victim dead.

Police said a suspect was taken into custody, and is cooperating with investigators.
Officials are not sharing the victim’s identity.

According to police, there is no threat to the public.
The incident is under investigation.
