About this Event
We are seeking YOUR ATTENDANCE for our upcoming Haitian Cultural Gala 2019 celebration to be held on Friday November 15, 2019 between 6pm-9pm at Rhode Island Shriners Imperial Room.
The New Bridges for Haitian Success, Inc. is a Rhode Island based 501(c)3 organization that provides direct services such AS Adult English language education, pre-employment skill building, computer literacy, and health and wellness.
WE ALSO CREATE creating opportunities for Haitians to better INTEGRATE into American society.
Since 2013, New Bridges has been working on numerous projects serving both Haitian residents of Rhode Island and deprived communities in Haiti.
Back in the homeland, Haiti, the New Bridges for Haitian Success (NB4HS) works to IMPROVE the living conditions in the southeastern part of Haiti through education and medical intervention. Our primary focus is mainly in the town of Belle-Anse, a place with over 158,000 residents with barely ANY functional health system OR access to education. The population is still reeling from the DEVASTATING EARTHQUAKE of 2010 and more recently, Hurricane Matthew. Many PEOPLE still live in tents and hardly have access to food or clean drinking water.
THROUGH DONATIONS AND SPONSORSHIPS FROM THOSE LIKE YOU AND YOUR ORGANIZATION, WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO ALLEVIATE THE SUFFERING OF PEOPLE IN THAT COMMUNITY.
YOUR GENEROSITY HAS made our many activities in Haiti possible. WE ARE GRATEFUL TO LT. GOVERNOR DANILEL MCKEE AND THE TOWNSHIP OF LINCOLN FOR THE AMBULANCE WE WERE ABLE TO SEND TO THE COMMUNITY OF BELLE-ANSE THIS YEAR. IT WAS THERE FIRST AMBULANCE EVER.
Your financial support will help Rhode Island-based Haitian youths receive 2019 Scholarship Awards of Recognition from New Bridges for Haitian Success and support our educational programing and health sessions as well. It will also help youth back in Haiti by sending more children to school and providing scholarships, uniforms, and teaching materials), food, & much-needed medical supplies more important than ever.
