CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Multiple break-ins that took place at homes in the Edgewood portion of Cranston are under investigation, according to police.
Police said since Thursday, break-ins happened on Malvern Avenue, Broad Street and two on Alhambra Circle.
A homeowner on Malvern Avenue told police around 9:30 p.m. a man was inside their home, pointed a gun at them and jumped out of a window before running away. Cash and other items were believed to have been taken.
Just before 3 a.m. on Friday, a homeowner on Alhambra said they woke up and found a man inside their house, according to police. The people living there chased him out of the home and nothing was stolen. There was blood found at the back window, police said, and it’s believed that’s how the man broke in.
Residents from the second Alhambra home reported to police on Friday a power tool, debit card, clothes and a phone were taken.
A homeowner on Broad Street told police their house was broken into, blood was seen on their screen door and the intruder also ate food from the kitchen.
Police are asking residents to report any suspicious activity they see.
