Job Description:

Shift: 7:30 AM- 4:00 PM

The Product Development Coordinator will provide stewardship of new product lines from the point of concept approval to completion of the production process and transfer to inventory. This position will interact with Product Development and Production to provide a broader view into the overall product development, production and delivery process. This individual will serve as the process controller and point of contact for D2G Group’s internal New Product Engineering Team and Manufacturing team for all questions regarding samples, work orders, production status, and stock date information. The Coordinator will partner with Manufacturing, CI, Graphics Department and Engineering to map and standardize a process for development and hand-off of newly designed products to the Merchandising Team. Once a timeline is defined and agreed upon, the Coordinator oversees the development and production schedule, partnering with the Manufacturing Team to ensure a timely and systematic hand-off from Engineering, as well as ensuring promised in-stock dates are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as point of contact for other functional areas on all inquiries regarding new products
  • Partner with stakeholders to create tools to provide transparency to the product development lifecycle
  • Coordinate with the Merchandising, Manufacturing Scheduler and Procurement to develop launch timelines
  • Schedule and facilitate new product development and launch planning meetings with stakeholders
  • Create Spec Sheets and verify accuracy of final production sample
  • Follow up to solve any QC issues
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of item set ups in database, including routings & BOMS.
  • Coordinate with the Manufacturing Scheduled to incorporate new products into the production schedule
  • Validate new product work orders are on schedule
  • Manage large custom runs, ensuring materials are ordered and resources aligned to meet the ship date
  • Attends Product Review Sessions to gain understanding of design spec and end use intent
  • Delivers Post Launch Production Analysis (Actual Cost versus Quoted and Production Team Feedback – Validation of project results to deliver optimal quality and best cost)
  • All other duties and responsibilities as dictated by management

Education and Experience

  • Associates degree in Business or related field required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field a plus
  • Experience with process management in a manufacturing environment and end-consumer products a plus
  • Strong MS Office and Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Generix Solochain a plus
