The gala will take place at the Rhodes on the Pawtuxet in Cranston, RI and kicks off with cocktails at 6 pm. You will enjoy a fabulous evening filled with food, dancing, and celebrating! This year, the gala will also feature two extraordinary leaders.
Rhode Island State Senator Sandra Cano as Honorary Chair
Sandra Cano was born in Medellin, Colombia and moved to the United States in 2000. Sandra was elected a member of the City of Pawtucket School Committee in 2012 as the top vote getter and the first Latina ever elected in the city. She was then elected as the first Latina Pawtucket City Councilor in November of 2014 and re-elected in 2016. Sandra won a special election for Senate District 8 in April of 2017.
Governor’s Workforce Board for RI Chairman Michael Grey as Keynote
Michael Grey has held national leadership roles while also being engaged in community efforts. Michael has served on the Governor’s Workforce Board for RI and was appointed Chairman in 2016. He has also served as a trustee on the Career & Technical Education Board and as North American Vice President of Sodexo.
