Guest Speaker Series

Former Central Falls Mayor and current RI State Treasurer James A. Diossa was the first of this year’s professional speakers to visit Project GOAL. He shared about his childhood education and love of soccer with our students at Calcutt Middle School.

Our second guest was Rhode Island FC head coach, Khano Smith, who shared with our students at Veterans Elementary School about his background, college studies, and soccer career. He also fit in multiple selfies and autographs and managed to work up a sweat on our mini-pitch!
Our most recent visit was with alumni Captain Mauricio Agudelo who shared about his experience as a student at Calcutt Middle School and in Project GOAL, and his career in the US Air Force flying F16 fighter planes.

Upcoming Annual College Showcase

Project GOAL’s Annual College Showcase will be on Tuesday, November 21st at Wheeler School Farm in Seekonk, MA sponsored by WeGotSoccer. High School sophomore, junior, and senior talent from Providence, Pawtucket, and Central Falls High Schools will be on display with college and professional coaches in attendance!
