PVDFest Returns to the Creative Capital for 2020

PVDFest brings four days of arts, culture, music, entertainment and much more to the streets of Providence, June 11-14, 2020

PROVIDENCE, RI  The City of Providence today announced that PVDFest, the City’s signature arts festival, will return for its sixth year from June 11-14, 2020. Co-produced by the City of Providence Department of Arts, Culture + Tourism and non-profit arts presenter FirstWorks, PVDFest 2020 will build on the successes of the past five festivals by continuing to offer its participants and visitors a world-class experience, presenting talent from around the corner and across the globe.

“PVDFest is one of the many really important opportunities for the city to showcase what it is and what it has in all of its unique creativity,” said Michael Gore of the Extraordinary Rendition Band (ERB). ERB, an open street band featuring over 30 members, has performed at the festival for several years; PVDFest 2019 marking the band’s first-time as a festival stage curator and the group’s 10-year anniversary celebration.

Next year’s festival offers creatives the opportunity to participate as food vendors; performers; curators and producers; writers; buskers; and dancers. With a focus on providing participants and visitors the best experience possible, PVDFest 2020 will strategically curate performances and stages through a community panel. Creatives interested in participating as a part of the festival or in the community panel are encouraged to submit their application now through December 15 at pvdfest.com. Sponsorship opportunities are also available online.
