Local Nonprofit Organizations at the Forefront of
COVID-19 Response Can Apply for a Response Fund Grant

The Rhode Island Foundation and the United Way of Rhode Island have announced that local nonprofit organizations at the forefront of COVID-19 response can apply for a COVID-19 Response Fund Grant. The two organizations jointly established the COVID-19 Response Fund and in just a week the Foundation has raised over $3.3 million in initial contributions from many generous donors.

For Rhode Islanders who are experiencing a change in income, plans through HealthSource RI may be more affordable than COBRA coverage or other options because financial assistance is available. A Special Enrollment Period is available for up to 60 days from the loss of coverage.
