Rhode Island State Police bust 6 in major drug and firearm sweep

Six men were arrested by police on May 2, as a result of a high-level drug and firearm investigation by Rhode Island State Police HIDTA Task Force.

Police said they seized over 3.7 kilograms of fentanyl, 2.5 kilograms of cocaine, 375 grams of methamphetamine, and distribution materials.

Officials also found several pistols, along with $70,000 in cash.

Police arrested 31-year-old Kejuan Mitchell, Edison Kelly Lopez, 30, Catalino Lopez, 47, Joel Kennedy, 36, Andres Campbell, 33, and Hamlet Lopez, 33.

All six are facing several narcotics and drug charges

The men were arraigned at 6th Division District Court and were held without bail.
