Salsa Night Moved to Tomorrow

We have a lot happening in our city that kicks off this long weekend—and I hope you’ll join in to celebrate and get involved.

Central Falls Restaurant Week begins tonight!
Now through Sept. 5, we’re showcasing the incredible restaurants and small businesses that make Central Falls an amazing destination for food lovers. From authentic cuisines representing cultures around the world to the warm hospitality of our chefs and local business owners, there’s no better time to support our small businesses and try something new! Salsa Night Postponed to Tomorrow
While we had to press pause on Salsa Night due to tonight’s weather, the good news is that we’ll still be dancing together tomorrow, Saturday, August 30! Join us at 6 PM under the Roosevelt Ave Bridge lights for FREE salsa lessons, dancing, and a delicious sneak peek of some of the restaurants bringing A World of Flavors in One Square Mile during Restaurant Week. See you on the dance floor!

School Board Candidacy Declarations Open Today
Today also marks the first day residents can officially declare their candidacy for our new Central Falls School Board. Serving on the school board is an important way to make a difference in the lives of our students and families, and lead our schools into this new exciting chapter with local control. If you’ve ever considered stepping up to serve, now is the time to learn more and get involved: www.centralfallsri.gov/election.

I’m grateful for the energy and pride so many of you bring to Central Falls! Whether it’s sharing a meal at one of our restaurants, dancing on the Roosevelt Avenue bridge, or running for local office, this weekend is a celebration of our community in so many ways.

Tenemos muchas cosas que hacer en nuestra ciudad que dan inicio a este fin de semana largo, y espero que se unan a celebrar y participar.

¡La Semana de Restaurantes de Central Falls comienza esta noche!
Desde ahora y hasta el 5 de septiembre, presentaremos los increíbles restaurantes y pequeños negocios que hacen de Central Falls un destino increíble para los amantes de la gastronomía. Noche de Salsa Pospuesta para Mañana
Aunque tuvimos que posponer la Noche de Salsa debido al clima de esta noche, ¡la buena noticia es que seguiremos bailando juntos mañana, sábado 30 de agosto! Acompáñenos a las 6 PM bajo las luces del Puente de la Avenida Roosevelt para disfrutar de clases de salsa GRATIS, baile y un delicioso adelanto de algunos de los restaurantes que traen Un Mundo de Sabores en una Milla Cuadrada durante la Semana de Restaurantes. ¡Nos vemos en la pista de baile!

Hoy se abren las declaraciones de candidatura para la Junta Escolar
Hoy también es el primer día en que los residentes pueden declarar oficialmente su candidatura para la nueva Junta Escolar de Central Falls. Ser miembro de la junta escolar es una manera importante de marcar la diferencia en la vida de nuestros estudiantes y familias, y de guiar a nuestras escuelas hacia esta nueva y emocionante etapa con control local.
