Saturday at 12pm: Central Falls grand opening of futsal courts with NE Revolution players

CENTRAL FALLS, RI – The City of Central Falls will officially cut the ribbon on its two new outdoor futsal courts, spearheaded by Project GOAL and the City of Central Falls and sponsored and funded by Tufts Health Plan. Current and former New England Revolution players will be on-site to speak on the importance of youth athletics.

Until now, Project GOAL – which empowers many CF middle schoolers through academic enrichment and soccer training – utilized gym space at Calcutt Middle School along with spaces at Moses Brown, Wheeler, and Brown University. The new futsal courts will be accessible to all Central Falls residents.

Due to COVID-19, face masks are recommended for all attending the ribbon cutting ceremony, and free COVID-19 vaccines will be available on-site. The number of attendees will be limited for this celebration, and social distancing is recommended.
