Rhode Island Small Businesses Eligible to Apply for SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans

Rhode Island Commerce is reminding small businesses about the availability of Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) in response to the May 17 – 18, 2023 freeze.

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack issued a disaster declaration in the counties of Bristol, Newport, and Providence, Rhode Island, to help farmers recover from damages and losses to crops.

The EIDLs are being made available to certain small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, aquaculture small businesses, and most private nonprofits by the U.S. Small Businesses Administration (SBA).

Loan applications should be submitted to the SBA no later than March 11, 2024.
