Applications opened on Sunday, May 1, for RISCA’s General Operating Support for Artists (GOS-A). The program provides grants of $6,000 for each of three consecutive years (totaling $18,000) for artists to work toward large, specific and self-identified goals in their art practice.
To assist in the application process and meet the July 1 deadline for GOS-A, Arts Council staff member, Mollie Flanagan, has scheduled virtual workshops and office hours throughout May and June.
Congratulations to Newport Music Festival, $15,000; AS220, $15,000; Brown University, $20,000; Community MusicWorks, $60,000; and FirstWorks, $20,000, for receiving NEA recommended grants.
In addition, the NEA awarded RISCA with a grant of $858,200 to assist our vital arts economy and post-pandemic revitalization.
