Treasurer Magaziner to Highlight Support for Affordable Housing Bond to Spur Job Creation at Greenridge Commons

Second Visit of a Month-Long Campaign Encouraging Rhode Islanders to vote “Yes” on All 7 Bonds
Pascoag, RI– General Treasurer Seth Magaziner will today visit Greenridge Commons in Pascoag to discuss how bond Question 3 in the March 2 special election will create jobs, spur economic growth and increase the quality of life for Rhode Islanders.
Bond Question 3 would allocate $45 million for the construction and rehabilitation of affordable housing. The bond would also fund $20 million in community revitalization projects that will improve the social, economic and health resiliency of neighborhoods.
Earlier this month, Treasurer Magaziner launched a public awareness campaign in support of all seven bond measures on the March 2 special election ballot. Treasurer Magaziner has long been a proponent of bonding to spur a broad-based economic recovery, with this opportunity putting thousands of Rhode Islanders affected by the COVID-19 pandemic back to work. Last week, Treasurer Magaziner visited the Port of Davisville as one in a series of stops being made to highlight the need for passage of all seven bond questions.
