Celebrating Hispanic Heritage in Rhode Island
Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! This past Friday I was proud to co-host a Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration alongside Lieutenant Governor Sabina Matos, to honor and celebrate the rich heritage and diversity of our Latino neighbors. Our Latino community has long been a vital part of Rhode Island’s story, contributing to our culture, economy, and communities.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. If you or a loved one has been affected by violence, know that you are not alone, and help is available. Rhode Island’s Crime Victim Compensation Program (CVCP) offers vital support, providing reimbursements of up to $25,000 for expenses such as medical care, counseling, relocation, lost wages, funeral costs, and more.
