Two injured after stabbing and shooting in Fall River

(WJAR) — Fall River police said a man was stabbed and a woman shot early Wednesday morning.
According to police, they responded to 400 Dickinson St. at around 4:37 a.m. after a report of a stabbing a shooting.
Officers found a 55-year-old man who sustained multiple stab wounds to his head and neck area at the scene.
Police said that a 42-year-old woman who sustained a shot wound to the head was also found inside the home.
“It was a surprise. When I came home from the gym, I saw all of these cops,” said Antonio Andres who lives on the same street where the incident happened. “It’s a man that lives there by himself but for the last couple of months, I saw another girl.”Neighbors also said the area is usually quiet.“No police presence here ever, and it’s a very nice neighborhood with nice people,” said Natalia Gutierrez.
Fall River police said the woman remains in critical condition while the man is in stable condition.
The incident is under investigation.
