Two men accused of sexually assaulting 12-year-old girls in North Kingstown

Two men are facing charges after being accused of sexually assaulting two 12-year-old girls.
North Kingstown police said shortly before 3 a.m. on Saturday, they received a call from two girls reporting that they were sexually assaulted.
The two girls told police they were assaulted in the parking area on Marine Road near the bike path, by 19-year-old Dustin Buckley, of Connecticut, and 19-year-old Austin Sumner, of Massachusetts.
Police determined the pair were at a home in Coventry when they were contacted on a public Snapchat account by one of the men.
According to officials, the girls were picked up at 1 a.m. by Buckley and Sumner at a nearby park.
The men then brought the girls to the Marine Road parking lot.
Police said while in the vehicle, one of the girls was sexually assaulted by both men.
The girls told police Buckley and Sumner had a tent near the beach.
Both men were located, along with a 12-year-old boy known to them.
Police said the Buckley and Sumner provided the boy with marijuana and alcohol.
Buckley is being charged with four counts of first degree child molestation sexual assault, contributing to delinquency of a child under 16 and possession of alcohol.
Sumner is facing two counts of first degree child molestation sexual assault, indecent solicitation of a child, contributing to delinquency of a child under 16 and possession of alcohol.
“Why are people doing this? how could you accost a child?” said one resident.
Both were arraigned on Monday and were held without bail.
