Two people struck by car in Cranston

CRANSTON, R.I. (WJAR) — Two people are seriously injured after being hit by a car in Cranston Monday night.

Police said the two were struck at the intersection of Park Avenue and Sunset Terrace.

The area is currently closed to traffic.

According to police, the driver remained on scene.

Both victims were transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
